Women Enterprise Fund
So as to provide alternative financial services to women who are excluded from the formal and informal financial sectors, the Masaki Foundation has started a women’s enterprise fund. The Fund provides accessible & affordable credit to support women to start and/or expand businesses for wealth and employment creation.
The core mandates of the Fund
- Provision of credit to women for enterprise development.
- Capacity building of women beneficiaries and their institutions.
- Provision of linkages of micro, small and medium enterprises owned by women to big enterprises.
Water Intervention Projects
The foundation has launched water intervention projects aimed at constructing 500 dams and drilling 500 boreholes in arid and semi-arid areas across the country. The foundation will endeavor to assist communities to harness reliable water sources for their use and that of livestock and for agricultural use. The foundation will mobilize all interested parties in initiating the water intervention chapter geared at helping Kenyans have enough food and water for use.
